MONDAY INSPIRATIONS: “I called the RD and asked if they would have the race if it rained” – Traci Lambert

Registered for: Christmas in July 24 Hour Solo Endurance Run
Past CiJ Finishes: 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 (Legacy Runner)
Total Miles: 291.9 Miles

R4W: How long have you been running and what got you into it?
Traci: About 10 years.  When I stopped smoking I walked to raise money for Breast cancer and saw people running the distance I was walking and wanted to do the same.

R4W: How do you stay motivated when you don’t want to run?
Traci: See other people achieving goals and helping them to get there.

R4W: What animal would best describe your running form?
Traci: Turtle or Sloth.  Lol.  Really, any animal with determination.  I am not fast but I keep going (Energizer Bunny perhaps?)

R4W: What has been the funniest thing that has happened to you preparing for, during, or after a run?
Traci: My first Chicago marathon I called the RD and asked if they would have the race if it rained.

R4W: What do you think about when you’re alone on your run?
Traci: I think about how to improve, how not to quit and get stronger, and if I see other runners what I can do to help them.  I also think about books I want to write and sort through the daily issues at hand. And bears. 🙂
